All you need to do is restore the default settings of your browser. You do not need to download or install any repair tool.
Step 1
Close all tabs and running instances of Google Chrome.
Step 2
Go to the installation folder of Google Chrome:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\User Data.
To locate this, go to the start up icon, click on “computer” –> double-click on your “C drive”–>double-click “Users”–>double-click “UserName” (This is your username)–>double-click “AppData”, –>double-click “Local, –>double-click “Google”, –> double-click “Chrome”, –>double-click “Application”, then finally, “User Data”.
Step 3
In the “User Data” folder, look for a file named “Default” and rename it. To do this, right-click on “Default” and rename it. E.g From the original name “Default” rename as “DefaultOLD”
Finally, Launch Google Chrome and a new “Default ” file will be created.
You should from now on have your Google Chrome working perfectly.
PLEASE NOTE: All passwords, bookmarks and other personalized data including the browser settings will be lost after restoring the default settings of the browser.
